Hey guess what? TravelSkills editor Chris McGinnis is taking off for Cuba this week on the first cruise ship allowed to sail from the US (Miami) to a Cuban port (Havana) in 50 years! It should be an historic event and I’ll try to share snippets of the trip here. However, I’ve been warned about spotty-to-non-existent internet, so it may have to wait until next week. So stay tuned! I’m getting there on a new cruise line called Fathom Travel, which is part of Carnival Corporation. We will call on Havana, Cienfuegos and Santiago (see above for our itinerary.) Why is this trip so special for Chris? Well, read about what happened the first time he reported on travel to Cuba on CNN! (Phew!)
