The website TheDailyMeal.com, which concerns itself with “all things food and drink,” has come out with its selection of which international airlines offer the best economy class dining.
The Top 10 list includes European, Asian, Mideastern and even a Latin American carrier — but no U.S. airlines. The article includes commentary on the coach class offerings of the top 10, which include Air France, Austrian, Cathay Pacific, Emirates, Etihad, Iclandair, LAN, Singapore, Thai and Turkish Airlines.
The site said it reached its conclusions by studying various airline rating services like Skytrax, and by looking at consumer reviews and photos on airlinemeals.net and inflightfeed.com, and even by examining menus posted on airlines’ websites.
It noted that six of the airlines on its “best economy class dining” list also were included on its list of best first class food.

Not to be rude but this is a very easy story to write. That’s because there are U.S. carriers that serve meals any more on flight within the U.S., except for very expensive box lunches that you have to pay for.
My wife flew on Copa air between Washington D.C. and Panama and was shocked at how good the food was in coach and how well they took care of people. Now this is an airline with no real competition and they treat passengers very well? Wish Copa would fly within the states.
