It appears that Donald Sutherland is out as the desultory baritone voice of Delta. He’s been replaced by an actor you may recognize from her superb roles in The Help, How to Get Away with Murder or Eat, Pray Love….
Delta’s newest ad, which starts out with a song from Snow White (Hi-ho!), “features the steady, sure and aspirational voice of Academy Award Nominee and Golden Globe Winner, Viola Davis, who will be the voice of Delta for the next year,” according to a press release. More about Viola Davis here.
The spot begins with an early wake-up call and a flight to an important meeting, a long day at work or a big life moment and “focuses on allowing customers the opportunity to enjoy incredible experiences, adventures and opportunities around the world.”
Delta says “4 A.M.” was shot in New York, Shanghai, Mexico City and Los Angeles and will begin airing on Feb. 6.
