Average fares from the West Coast are now back over $500, but keep an eye out for periodic deals brought on by the new competition. Set up fare alerts on sites like Airfarewatchdog or FareCompare. Virgin’s Maui nonstops start December 2, so we’ll keep an eye our for any discounts related to that launch.
